Frequently Asked Questions
Curious minds always ask. Here are some answers to get you started.
1. What level of Spanish do I need to start?
None at all! Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced speaker, the lessons are tailored to your level, your rhythm, and your goals.

2. Are the classes online or in-person?
All lessons are 100% online, so you can learn from anywhere in the world — your couch, a café in Lisbon, or a cabin in the woods.

3. What do I need for the lessons?
A stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and ideally a pair of headphones. I’ll take care of the rest.

4. Where are the lessons conducted?
The lessons will be conducted via Google Meet or Zoom.

5. What’s the difference between the lesson types?
Private lessons are fully customized, conversation lessons focus on speaking practice, and conversation groups offer a cozy, collaborative way to learn with others. Find out more here.

6. What is the duration of the lessons?
The duration of the lessons depends on the type of session. Private lessons and conversation lessons are 50 minutes long, and conversation groups last 60 minutes.

7. Do you follow a specific method or textbook?
No. Lessons are tailor-made to suit your individual needs. We use a variety of resources — authentic materials, stories, videos, and lots of cultural content — based on your interests and learning style. If you prefer to work with a specific textbook or resource, just let us know! We’ll be happy to incorporate that into our lessons, as long as you provide the material.

8. Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
Yes — you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance. Find out more about our cancellation policy here.

9. Can I try a lesson before committing?
Yes! You can book a trial session to see if it's the right fit for you. All trial lessons are 25min long and free of charge.

10. In what language will the classes be conducted?
Conversation lessons and conversation groups are conducted entirely in Spanish. For private lessons, the language of instruction will depend on your level. While we’ll aim to speak Spanish for most of the lesson, if necessary, we can use English, French, Portuguese or Italian to clarify concepts and help you understand Spanish more easily.

11. How do I pay for the lessons?
You can pay directly through the website using a secure payment system. You'll receive confirmation and calendar links automatically.
